Health and Well-being: Am I on the path?

Humans crave three things. How do I check in to assure that what I crave, and the decisions I make everyday, are on my path of health and wellbeing?

  1. Freedom: to make our own decisions that we believe will help us feel better. When making a decision, even the smallest decision, ask yourself “will this help me feel better for the short term? for the long term?
  2. Connection: to someone or something that helps us feel like we are part of something larger than ourselves; that we are not alone.
  3. Purpose: that there is meaning to our lives.

Each one of us is unique. What lights each of us up can be different than everyone else including our partner, parents and community,  but we all crave the same three things. How do we address the health and well-being of a population when our values can be so different?

Can we agree that everyone has the freedom to determine what gives our lives purpose so we can feel connected (as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone)?

What if someone in our community has enough power (connections), who’s purpose is to increase that power, and feels the freedom to make decisions that impact the health and wellbeing of the community (no matter how large or small).

Forgiveness

Disconnect from the power. Focus on what you value. Connect with others who respect freedom and live their lives with purpose. The health and wellbeing of our population depends on the open-heartedness of individuals in a community that allows for multiplicity with respect and focus of energy on what helps us feel better.

I am focusing on my health and well-being. I know that I have the freedom to make decisions that will help me feel better in the short and long term. I will spend time doing what lights me up. I decide to connect with others who live their lives with purpose and focus their energy on making space for others. When I notice that someone is presenting with energy and focus that are not consistent with my values, I will disconnect from/forgive that power, not add to it. I respect another’s rights but respect my own health and wellbeing more.
